Peugeot 206 Seat Recliner Mechanism. i have a problem with the latching mechanism on the n/s front seat. It latches ok when moved backwards &. hopefully somebody with a good understanding of the recline mechanism will be able to offer some advice of how i can get. i took off one of the levers to operate the tilt/recline mechanism and replaced with a sturdy adjustable spanner,. my passenger side 206 seat won't slide forwards to let someone into the back of the car. The handle moves one way. if all else fails boot the s**t out of the seat, this fixed my passenger seat stuck in recline. my passengers seat will not recline it will fold up and go forward to allow people in the back but the handle will not. my friends a mechanic and says the springs have gone in the mechanism and that is why the seat will not raise to a normal position. you can try here and see if an exploded view that might help you understand how it works peugeot (ssg.asia) i tend to.
